The Shift Doctors (TracyLatz M.D. & Marion Ross Ph.D.) had an extraordinary experience on a jeep tour and hike to explore some Native American ruins in Sedona with an incredible and inspiring man, Randy Fridley. Randy has a rich and varied history. He is a retired Physicians Assistant, a former marine squadron commander/bombardier navigator, an award winning author, Reiki Master, hypnotherapist, astrologer, law of attraction junkie, graduate of Dr. Herbert Benson’s Body Mind Medicine course at Harvard, as well as a tour jeep driver in the ‘holy land of Sedona‘. Millions of seekers visit Sedona’s vortexes each year looking for a cure for troubled spirits or diseased bodies. They drive to one or more of the easily accessible “big four” vortexes (Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock, Airport Overview, or Boynton Vista) and make the short hike hoping for something unique. I visit the known vortexes too, but I was healed of a terminal diagnosis on the hiking trails in Sedona. Three places along the trails spoke to my body and spirit through resounding words and scenes that I believe will do the same for others. Mayan & Hopi Elders Speak on 2012 at Skull Fire Celebration

The Shift Doctors (Tracy Latz, M.D. & Marion Ross, Ph.D.) had the pleasure and honor of attending the Skull Fire Celebration and day-long talks on 11/7/2011 given by Hunbatz Men (Mayan Elder) and Hopi Elders on the subjects of the end of the Mayan calendar, 2012 up-coming changes, and crystal skulls. The ceremonies and talks took place in Sedona, Arizona with Drunvalo Melchizedek also in attendance.

Due to inclement weather, the opening ceremony took place inside- however, spirits were not dampened. Hopi elders spoke first, addressing the crowd in their native language. Then Hunbatz Men explained the true origin of the Hopi and Mayan people, as well as how their version of time and history differs from that written in history books and science books. He also spoke of the changes that are currently occurring and the changes that have yet to occur- heralded by the end of the Mayan calendar. The Shift Doctors at the Temple at Uluwatu in Bali, Indonesia

While in Bali, Indonesia The Shift Doctors (Tracy Latz, MD & Marion Ross, PhD), visited the Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple, dedicated to the spirits of the sea. The Uluwatu temple is an architectural wonder in black coral rock. It is beautifully designed with spectacular views and is located high on a cliff at the edge of a plateau 250 feet above the churning waves of the Indian Ocean. This is one of the favorite spots in Bali to watch the spectacular sunsets.

This is one of Bali’s 9 directional temples which guard Bali from evil spirits. The Uluwatu Temple guards Bali from the Southwest, the direction in which dwell major deities, including Bhatara Rudra, God of the elements and of cosmic forces. Though a small temple was claimed to have previously existed here, the original structure was thought to have been significantly expanded by a Javanese sage, Empu Kuturan in the 11th Century. Another sage from East Java, Dang Hyang Nirartha is credited for constructing the padmasana shrines and is claimed to have attained Moksha (liberation from samsara and suffering involved in being subject to the cycle of repeated death and reincarnation) here. The Shift Doctors at Tanah Lot Temple in Bali

The Shift Doctors (Tracy Latz, MD & Marion Ross, PhD), visited the Tanah Lot temple which has been a part of Balinese mythology for centuries. This temple is one of seven sea temples around the Balinese coast. Each of the sea temples were established within eyesight of the next to form a chain along the south-western coast.
In the Balinese language Tanah Lot means small island floating on the sea. Located 20 km from Denpasar, the temple is beautifully situated on a large offshore rock which has been shaped by the ocean tide over the years.

Tanah Lot is claimed to be associated with the 15th century priest Nirartha. During his travels along the south coast of Bali he observed the rock-island’s beautiful setting and stayed there to rest. Fishermen spotted him, and bought him gifts. Nirartha then spent the night on the little island. Later he spoke to the fishermen and told them to build a shrine on the rock for he felt it to be a holy place to worship the Balinese sea gods. Read More→

The Shift Doctors (Tracy Latz, MD & Marion Ross, PhD) had the great privilege of attending the Galungan festival and participating in services at three temples, representing Brahma (the Creator), Wisnu/Visnu (the Protector) and Siwa/Shiva (the Destroyer). The Galungan Festival in Indonesia is the most important festival for the Balinese. The Galungan Festival symbolizes the victory of Dharma (Virtue) upon Adharma (Evil), filled with cultural rites and ceremonies.

The Galungan Festival represents “Pawedalan Jagat” or the earth’s festival ceremony. On the eve of Galungan Festival the Hindus thank God for all his creations on earth. The Shift Doctors (Tracy Latz, M.D. and Marion Ross, Ph.D.) took a side trip to escape the intense mid day heat at the Mayan ruins of Palenque, Mexico and visited Agua Azul. Theses powerful, shimmering waterfalls, white water and deep, clear pools, rush through steaming jungle about 30miles from the town of Palenque. It is an amazing sight to behold this small segment of the long series of glittering cascades which course over miles of lush valleys in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas Mountains.
